Don’t Pause the Fun, Just Eat

When it came to casting, creating a casting call was a big learning curve for me. I started off with a factual word doc, and ended up with a themed casting call that communicated the mood of the project well.

While working with Rob, I found that casting is tough, you have to be ready to stick to specific desires for each role. While casting the main character, we had a lot of calls with a range of actors and had long discussions about who we liked and why.

One issue we dealt with was last-minute cast calls, as we had cast members drop out on the day just before we shot a scene. This taught me how to efficiently deal with on-the-day issues, working without letting stress freeze me or needing to place blame - just solving the problem.
