One Step at a Time

When I was asked to work on this project, I was excited to get some practice layering ATMOS tracks and creating immersive backgrounds due to this being a dialogue heavy documentary with little need for additional SFX.

I found it interesting switching between different locations. I didn't want it to be jarring, but I also wanted each location to be defined so that the sound design didn't feel flat with just dialogue and SFX. I tried to keep the soundscapes similar for each locations, which meant when I added a crossfade the difference wasn’t too jarring.

This project helped me build my confidence in working with ATMOS and layering background. I am excited to practice more.
